A warm welcome to every child who enrols at our school and to all parents, caregivers, friends and citizens. We hope that your association with our school will be a satisfying and enjoyable one.

Students who live within our local area are automatically eligible for enrolment. All students who live out of area are welcome to enrol.

Parents wishing to enrol your child/children at Marrickville Public School please visit or telephone the school to obtain an enrolment form, or download it via the link below and return the form to the school office. Proof of your child's age and immunisation records will be required when enrolling.

For all enrolments our Principal is available to meet with you to discuss your child's future education and take a tour around the school grounds. Please ring the school to make an appointment at a suitable time. Alternatively, please come along to our community open day or Kindergarten orientation enrolment night.

Community Information Open Day

All families interested in starting at Marrickville Public are welcome to visit our school, meet our teachers and students and take a school tour.

   Saturday May 22nd  3:00pm-5:00pm

School tours, meet the teachers and Principal, discuss curriucla and extra curricula programs.  Refreshments and children's activities available.

Kindergarten Orientation for Parents and Carers

Two information sessions for parents and carers of children starting Kindergarten next year will be held on: 

     Wednesday 18th August

The sessions include information about the school, meeting staff, goals and expectations for Kindergarten and meeting the P&C.

Kindergarten Transition Program

Our Transition to school program involves children attending school one morning per week for four weeks in Term 4. This time allows the children to get used to the formality and routine of school.

While the children are in the Kindergarten room, parents attend the transition workshops. This enables them to become familiar with the school surroundings and to meet staff and other parents.

When can your child enrol?

In the State of NSW children turning 5 years old by July 31st can enrol at the commencement of the school year. Children can also be enrolled up till the end of Term 2 each year if they turn 5 by July 31st, although it is preferable that all students commence as close as possible to the beginning of the year. Children who are 6 years old must, by law, be enrolled.

Enrolment Procedure: Years 1 - 6

Please bring your child to the office with any available information from the previous school (and visa details where relevant). Our office staff will give all necessary information to parents.

Visa details are also required if your child is not a permanent resident of Australia or from Overseas.
